A Moment That Felt Like Brandon Lake's Yell - Your Identity in Christ

For me, it’s those moments where I feel SO deeply rooted in my identity in Christ … that transform everything.

It provides flashes of perspective. As one of my favorite Bible study teachers says, “Faithful in the red. Focused on the white,” - a charge to be faithful in this small burst of time we are given here on Earth (the red) and doing that well by fixing your eyes on eternity (the white).. Letting that be the filter through which you move, think, act.

Do not lose hope and lose sight of the big picture, sister.

You are chosen - handpicked!- by God for such a time as this.

The creator of the Heavens and Earth said YOU are an essential part of the puzzle.

He loves you so much that He died for you on the cross and when He did, He invited you into His family.. Gave you access to His inheritance.. He wanted YOU to be with Him forever. The veil was torn. You are a daughter of the High King. A chosen, royal priesthood.

When you believe in Jesus - that He is the son of God - you get to spend Heaven with Him for eternity. THAT is your identity. That is the family who you are a part of. Now, go walk in that truth!!

It’s time to operate from that place of acceptance (acceptance from Jesus Christ Himself!).

He doesn’t ask for perfection - He asks for obedience.

Stand firm in the truth of who you are in Christ. Allow joyful obedience to direct your steps.

And as you walk that out, experience your own version of the Brandon Lake cry as you feel happy tears spring to your eyes in the best of ways.
